First Hand Goes to Barbaro

Vladimir Shchemelev raised in the cutoff and Francesco Barbaro and Humberto Brenes called from the blinds. The flop was all clubs as it rolled out and Barbaro led out. Brenes called and Shchemelev got out of the way as the players saw the turn. The action went check bet call and the hit the river. Both players checked and revealed their hands. Barbaro held for a jack high flush. Brenes showed for two pair and Barbaro scooped.

Matthew Waxman raised from under the gun and Humberto Brenes called on the button. Bradley Helm joined them from the big blind as they saw a flop of . Helm checked, Waxman bet and Brenes raised. Helm got out of the way and Waxman just called. The turn went check check. Waxman bet the river and Brenes just called. Waxman showed for a full house and Brenes mucked. Waxman was up to 830,000 after the hand while Brenes was down to 125,000.

Shortly after, Vladimir Shchemelev raised and Brenes made it three bets which got called. The flop came and it went check bet call. The was checked around and the players saw a free river. Shchemelev bet and when he got called by Brenes, he immediately mucked. Brenes showed to win the pot.

Shortly after that, the board was and Francesco Barbaro checked. Shchemelev led out and was called by Brenes while Barbaro folded. Shchemelev bet when the hit the turn and was called once more by Brenes. Shchemelev showed , Brenes . Shchemelev’s full house and low were good for three quarters of the pot.
