Día 3 empezado
Six days, seven starting flights, 849 entries... all boils down to this.
The final day of the Champions Club WPO $1,500 Main Event is finally upon us as we see 14 players return for their shot at all the glory here in Houston, Texas.
Since they did not make it to the final nine last night, play will begin a little earlier than originally planned. The final table stream is set to go live at 4:00 pm with a one-hour delay, so players are returning today at 2:00 p.m. to play until 5 players are lost.
Leading the way is Rakan Abusaleh who bagged up 6,750,000 after taking down several huge pots towards the end of the night. In second is Ryan Freeman with 6,200,000 and rounding out the top three is Trung Pham with 6,100,000.
The final 14 players will return tomorrow at 2:00 p.m. and will resume play at the start of Level 28 with blinds at 75,000/125,000 with a 125,000 big blind ante. They will then play until there are nine players left, at which point they will move over to the stream table to play out the remainder of the tournament on the Champions Club live stream on YouTube.

The cards are in the air and the chips are flying as the final day of the Champions Club Main Event is officially underway!
After a preflop betting war, Mohammed Bassam and Joel Trevino got it all in preflop, with Bassam at risk.
Mohammed Bassam: 8♠8♣
Joel Trevino: A♥Q♦
Bassam needed to hold with his eights, but his heart sank when an ace appeared back in the window... but an eight was right behind it to give him a set!
It was still a sweat on the turn of 8♦A♣10♠9♥ as Trevino could still hit a jack, but the river was the brick 7♣ to give Bassam the double.

Andrew Tran moved all in preflop for around 1,600,000 and was called by Michael Bahls to put him at risk.
Andrew Tran: Q♠J♦
Michael Bahls: A♥Q♦
Tran would need some help to stay alive in this spot, but the runout of K♥8♥5♣7♣4♦ could not do it and he was eliminated in 14th place.

On a flop of 9♠10♥10♣, Maxx Holland checked, Joel Trevino bet 175,000, and Holland check-raised to 450,000.
After some thought, Trevino just called and the two went to the river J♣. Holland promptly moved all in and Trvino-snap-called to put himself at risk.
Joel Trevino: 9♦9♥
Maxx Holland: 10♠8♣
"Wow..." Holland said in disbelief as he saw he was in bad shape, although he was still very much alive as any eight, ten, or jack would give him a superior full house. He did improve to a straight on the river 7♥, but it was not enough and Trevino was pushed the big pot for a double.

The action was picked up on a heads-up turn of 7♠8♣3♣10♣ when Rakan Abusaleh moved all in and was called by Maxx Holland with less.
Holland flipped over 9♥9♦ for a pair with an open-ended straight draw but unfortunately for him, he was drawing stone dead as Abusaleh tabled A♣Q♣ for the nut flush.
The board completed with the K♦ and Abusaleh was pushed the pot to jump to over 8,000,000 while Holland was eliminated in 13th.

After an open from Rakan Abusaleh, Jonathan Vuong moved all in for around 1,300,000.
"Well, I don't like it, but here we go," Abusaleh said as he made the call to put Vuong at risk.
Jonathan Vuong: A♦10♠
Rakan Abusaleh: A♥Q♣
Vuong would need some help to stay alive, but the flop of Q♠J♠6♥ gave Abusaleh top pair.
"Oh man, no king, NO KING!" Abusaleh pleaded as Vuong did have a gutshot straight draw, and sure enough, the runout came 7♠K♦ to give him Broadway for the double.
"Nooooo!!" Abusaleh groaned and the table shook their heads.
