Florian "Flo" Sighe said out loud that he's playing his first World Series of Poker event, and wouldn't you know he's made it down to the final 350 of this year's Main Event.
On a recent hand, we arrived at the table with a flop of in the middle of the table and a bet of 115,000 in front of Sighe's opponent Artin Ouzenian. Ouzenian had 160,000 behind, and Sighe was in the tank. Sighe said that he really want to put Ouzenian all in, but just couldn't pull the trigger. Eventually, Sighe folded and showed the for middle set. Ouzenian showed the for bottom pair and an open-ended straight flush draw.
Then on the next hand, action folded to Sighe on the button, and he raised to 22,000. John Monnette reraised all in from the big blind for 167,000, and the quickness of his shove got Sighe's attention.
"Such a snap all-in bet," he said, while thinking for a tiny bit.
Sighe then folded, and Monnette won the pot.
