Lisawad Just Shy of 2 Million

Nivel 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Alexios Zervos opened to 22,000 from early position and Pakinai Lisawad defended his big blind to see a {6-Clubs}{6-Spades}{J-Hearts} flop.

Zervos continued for 25,000 and Lisawad check-called before the {K-Diamonds} and {K-Hearts} was checked down.

Lisawad tabled his {A-Spades}{J-Clubs} and Zervos mucked while slipping to 240,000 as Lisawad now sits just a small blind shy of 2 million.

Excuse Me, Flo?

Nivel 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Florian "Flo" Sighe said out loud that he's playing his first World Series of Poker event, and wouldn't you know he's made it down to the final 350 of this year's Main Event.

On a recent hand, we arrived at the table with a flop of {Q-Spades}{J-Spades}{10-Clubs} in the middle of the table and a bet of 115,000 in front of Sighe's opponent Artin Ouzenian. Ouzenian had 160,000 behind, and Sighe was in the tank. Sighe said that he really want to put Ouzenian all in, but just couldn't pull the trigger. Eventually, Sighe folded and showed the {J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} for middle set. Ouzenian showed the {K-Spades}{10-Spades} for bottom pair and an open-ended straight flush draw.

Then on the next hand, action folded to Sighe on the button, and he raised to 22,000. John Monnette reraised all in from the big blind for 167,000, and the quickness of his shove got Sighe's attention.

"Such a snap all-in bet," he said, while thinking for a tiny bit.

Sighe then folded, and Monnette won the pot.

Goldberg Busts Goldkind on River

Nivel 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

From early position, Cliff Goldkind open-shoved his last 141,000 into the middle and Steven Goldberg moved his last 142,000 into the pot from a few seats over.

Goldkind: {J-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}
Goldberg: {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}

The board ran out {3-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{A-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} to see Goldberg river a better pair and send Goldkind to the rail.

Yogo Can't Hit an Over

Nivel 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Iori Yogo was done in by eights.
Iori Yogo was done in by eights.

We found Iori Yogo all in and at risk with {a-Spades}{k-Hearts} against the {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} of Christopher Shaw. The {4-Spades}{j-Spades}{9-Clubs} flop was no help to Yogo. Fourth street was a {7-Clubs}, and fifth street was the {4-Diamonds}, ending the tournament run of the 2013 ANZPT Player of the Year.

"I think the cameras should be on this guy," a player at the table said as Shaw celebrated with gusto.

"Snap-called," another player said. "I think that's why he wins the flips, he's so confident."

Devo Doubles Through Gorsuch

Nivel 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Bryan Devonshire
Bryan Devonshire

We arrived at the table to see Bryan Devonshire move all in on a {8-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{A-Spades} flop against John Gorsuch. Devonshire was all in for his last 186,000 and Gorsuch thought for quite some time before flicking forward a single chip, signifying a call.

Devonshire rolled over {A-Hearts}{k-Hearts} for top pair with top kicker and Gorsuch shook his head as he showed {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} for top pair with a worse kicker. The {Q-Diamonds} dropped on the turn, giving Gorsuch a few more outs to score the elimination by making a straight.

Fortunately for Devonshire, his ace-king held up after the {6-Diamonds} finished off the community cards. He scored the double and now sits on a stack of around 670,000.
