Martinez Sticks Around With an Ace
Nivel 4
: Blinds 200/300, 300 ante
Eugenio Martinez three-bet to 2,100 in the small blind and an opponent in middle position called.
The flop came Q♦7♥2♠ and Martinez continued for 1,500. His opponent then raised to 3,500 and Martinez called.
Martinez checked the A♣ turn and the middle-position player bet 7,500. Martinez called and the J♦ fell on the river. The middle-position player then bet 30,000 and Martinez snap-called.
Martinez showed A♠K♠ for top pair, while his opponent could only show 6♠3♠ for a bluff as Martinez took the big pot.
"Nobody can fold ace-king at this table," another tablemate said after the hand.
