Calvin Ho Eliminated in 12th Place (AU$95,000)

So far today, all of the eliminations occurred in the first two levels of play. Losing 18 players in three hours of play is an extremely rapid pace for Day 4 of a major poker tournament, but that will also lend itself to some very slow action as the day wears on. After the second break, that clearly proved to be the case.

Following 18 bust outs in the first three hours, it took nearly three more hours for the next player to be sent home in 12th place. That player was Calvin Ho, and he fell at the hands of Brian Rast.

After Alex Lynskey raised to 50,000 from under the gun, Ho reraised all in from the cutoff seat for a little over 400,000. Brian Rast made the call from the small blind, and everyone else folded. This put Rast's {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} up against the {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} for the all-in Ho.

The flop hit both players, but it hit Rast harder — {Q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{3-Clubs}. The turn was the {9-Spades} to leave Ho drawing dead, and the river completed the runout with the {J-Hearts}.

Ho shook hands with Rast and the rest of the table before making his leave to the payout desk AU$95,000 richer. Rast moved to 3.1 million in chips, and there are now 11 players remaining.
