Trevallion Loses More

Nivel 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Maybe Alex Trevallion isn't bulletproof after all. The Australian has almost forgotten what it's like to bust a tournament but he's nearing the exit door with 202,000 chips after he let a hand go on the river.

Trevallion raised to 180,000 from under the gun and was called by Alex Lynskey (hijack seat) and and Michael Pedley (big blind) en route to a {3-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{6-Hearts} flop. From that point on Lynskey picked up the initiative baton with bets of 25,000, 58,000 and 127,000. Pedley ducked out on the flop but Trevallion stuck around until the river.

"Ahhh, you'd bet that much if you were value-betting too!" he commented. "Go on, take it!" he continued as he folded.

Rast Continues to Climb; Eliminates Alexander

Nivel 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

We missed the elimination of Raemin Alexander in 44th place, but we do know that he fell in particularly brutal fashion.

It happened when he got his stack all in preflop holding {a-}{k-} against Brian Rast, who also held Big Slick. Unfortunately for Alexander, the board ran out four spades and Rast happened to hold the {a-Spades}.

Trevallion vs. Pedley for 800K

Nivel 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

We're not sure how the action unfolded, but we do know a preflop raising war resulted in Michael Pedley getting his big stack of 393,000 all in against Alex Trevallion, who if you recall won the AU$25,000 Challenge and is at the final table of the currently-on-hiatus AU$100,000 Challenge.

Pedley: {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Trevallion: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}

It was a big flip for a huge pot, and the {2-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop favored Trevallion. Pedley began to get out of his seat, but he was stopped dead in his tracks after the dealer burned and turned the {10-Spades}. Pedley spiked a set to leave Trevallion drawing dead. Just to rub salt in the wound, the dealer put out the {10-Diamonds} to improve Pedley to quads.

McDonald Down to 20BB

Nivel 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Mike McDonald's stack has dropped to 20BB after he folded on the river in a hand to Joel Douaglin.

The board read {a-Hearts}{5-Spades}{q-Hearts}{5-Clubs} ands Douaglin led our from the big blind for 45,000. McDonald gave his opponent the stare down although the New Caledonian was oblivious to it. He called to see the {2-Clubs} river where Douaglin snap bet another 100,000. McDonald folded.

Savage Ravaged

Nivel 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

"All in and a call Table 31," we heard a dealer call.

We made our way over to discover Ben Savage getting out of his seat. It appeared he got the last of his chips all in on the river with the board reading {6-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and was up against Calvin Ho, who held the {10-Clubs}{6-Spades} for two pair. Savage went to muck, but given it was an all-in situation the dealer turned over his {q-Spades}{k-Clubs}.

With that we bid adieu to Savage.
