Bennett Gets Paid By Shovkovyi
On a heads-up flop of 5♥A♣Q♦, Ethan Bennett checked, Vladyslav Shovkovyi bet 35,000 into the pot of 50,000, and Bennett called.
On the turn 3♥, Bennet check-called again, this time for 90,000.
The river fell the 4♣ and Bennett then led-jammed for 185,000, which sent Shovkovyi into the tank.
"Wow, not a great river but not the worst one, either," Shovkovyi said aloud as he stared at his hand.
After nearly two minutes, Shovkovyi slid out a stack to make the call, but did not like what he heard next...
"Nuts," Bennett announced and tabled Q♣9♥7♦6♦ for the nut straight on the river, causing a huge reaction from Shovkovyi and the rest of the table.
"Wowwww," Shovkovyi couldn't believe it and showed A♠Q♥6♠4♠ for top two pair as he watched the dealer push the pot over to Bennett.
