Kampanatsanyakorn Tank-Folds Queens

Nivel 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

The under-the-gun player raised to 1,000 only to have Chance Kampanatsanyakorn three-bet to 2,800 from middle position. The next player to act four-bet to 9,000 and it folded to the small blind who flatted the four bet. The original raiser folded and Kampanatsanyakorn came along for the ride.

The flop was {2-Spades}{J-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and there were two quick checks to the four-bettor. He moved all in for what looked to be around 19,400 and the small blind folded. Kampanatsanyakorn went into the tank for well over four minutes before ultimately folding {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts} face up to the table. With this hit, Kampanatsanyakorn's stack is back down to starting stack of 30,000.

John Hennigan
John Hennigan

Jonathan Duhamel opened from middle position and was called by John Hennigan in late position and the player in the big blind. The flop came {K-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{3-Spades} and the player in the big blind checked the action over to Duhamel who bet 2,000.

Hennigan looked at Duhamel and asked how much he had leading the 2010 World Series of Poker Main Event champion to lift his hands. Hennigan called and the player in the big blind folded.

The two would check on the {Q-Diamonds} turn and Duhamel would check again on the {J-Clubs} river. Hennigan made a small bet of 2,000 which was enough to get Duhamel to fold.

Freeroll Winner Michels Ousts One

Nivel 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

On a board of {7-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{9-Spades}, Jeffrey Michels bet 6,550 and was called by an opponent on his left. Michels, who was under the gun, took a long time before betting 11,000 on the {10-Hearts} river, putting his opponent all in. The play pushed in a frustrated call, revealing {a-Spades}{5-Hearts}, playing the board. Michels showed {j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} for a jack-high straight.

Michels qualified for the tournament through a PokerStars freeroll, and he's off to a nice start with double the starting stack late on Day 1b.

Three players including Ryan Riess and Paul Newey took a flop of {4-Spades}{2-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} in a raised pot. The first player checked over to the 2013 World Series of Poker Main Event champion who fired out 1,800. Newey called from the button and the first player folded his cards.

Riess stuck around and the {Q-Hearts} paired the board on fifth street. Riess checked and Newey instantly knocked the table back, showing {7-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for a counterfeited two pair. Riess tabled {K-Clubs}{Q-Spades} for trip queens and was awarded the pot.

With this win, Riess' stack has increased to 64,500. Newey, on the other hand, has fallen to 17,000.
