Vogelsang Back In

Nivel 8 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

A battle of the blinds saw Isaac Haxton shove for pot-size on the {K-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} turn against table neighbor Dominik Nitsche and the German ended up folding his cards. At about the same time, Nitsche's countryman Christoph Vogelsang showed up in the tournament area again with a ticket in his hand and that brings the number of reentries up to at least 10.

Kuznetsov Doubles; Vogelsang Busts

Nivel 8 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Timofey Kuznetsov shoved for his last 46,000 and Andrew Lichtenberger called from two seats over, Ibrahim Raouf folded out of the big blind after some consideration.

Kuznetsov: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}
Lichtenberger: {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}

The board ran out {J-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and that awarded the pot to the Russian.

Christoph Vogelsang was also at risk shortly after in a battle of the blinds against Bryn Kenney. The latter had limped in, Vogelsang made it 13,000 to go in the big blind and then snap-called all in when Kenney had shoved.

Vogelsang: {A-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}
Kenney: {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}

The board ran out {J-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{5-Spades} and the kicker issue resulted in the seat open for Vogelsang.

Silver Wins Flip; Busts Carrel

Nivel 8 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Charlie Carrel
Charlie Carrel

Byron Kaverman opened to 14,000 and Max Silver called from one seat over on the button. Charlie Carrel, just having given up a pot to the shove of Daniel Dvoress, now made the same move and was at risk for what looked like 110,000. Kaverman folded and Silver quickly called.

Carrel: {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}
Silver: {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}

The {K-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop didn't change much yet, but gave Silver a gutshot on top of his two over cards. On the {4-Diamonds} turn, everything remained the same but the {A-Clubs} on the river sent Carrel to the rail.

Petrangelo Exits

Ibrahim Raouf raised to 10,000 and Nick Petrangelo defended his big blind to see the flop of {J-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}. A continuation bet by Raouf for 18,000 was called before Petrangelo then check-raised the {Q-Hearts} turn with {5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} for a flush draw and bottom pair. Raouf held pocket jacks for a set and a blank eight on the river sent Petrangelo to the rail.

The Nut Low

Nivel 7 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Action folded to Justin Bonomo on the button and the former champ made it 10,500. Daniel Dvoress called from the big blind and both players checked the {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{8-Spades} flop.

Dvoress bet out 13,500 on the {4-Hearts} turn and Bonomo called in position. The {9-Spades} made for a double paired board and Dvoress now bet 37,000.

Bonomo, by now half standing up, tanked for a bit before eventually tossing in the calling chips.

"Board" Dvoress said, as he showed his {2-Clubs}{2-Hearts}. Bonomo tabled {A-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and took it down.

Timothy Adams

Fabian Quoss opened to 11,000 and Timothy Adams three-bet, making it 30,000, and leaving himself 111,000 behind.

Isaac Haxton four-bet, making it 70,000, and after Quoss folded, Adams pushed in. Haxton called it off with the {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} and Adams was racing for his tournament life with the {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}.

The board ran out {q-Spades}{7-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{5-Spades} and Adams turned the bigger pair to double through, leaving Haxton the relatively short one now.

Major Disaster Avoided

Nivel 7 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

From the hijack, Stanley Choi raised to 10,000. He was called in two spots: Daniel Negreanu on the button and Christoph Vogelsang in the big blind.

The flop came {6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} and Vogelsang checked. Choi continued for 16,000 and Negreanu called. Vogelsang folded.

The {A-Diamonds} on the turn saw Choi bet 35,000. Negreanu once again called.

With the {10-Diamonds} completing the board, Choi checked his option. "Ok!" replied Negreanu, indicating a check behind.

Choi showed {A-Spades}{J-Diamonds}, by now knowing his hand was best.

"Ah I had you!" said Negreanu, showing {6-Clubs}{6-Spades} for the flopped set.

Smith Makes Good Fold

Nivel 7 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

"I think you have it Sam. Normally I am supposed to call," Dan Smith said after facing a bet worth 50,500 on the river of a board {10-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Spades}{7-Clubs}{J-Spades}. There were 75,500 chips in the middle of the table and Smith eventually sent his cards into the muck.

Greenwood offered his opponent to pick one card and Smith revealed the {J-Hearts}, patting himself on the right shoulder right after with a grin on the face.

Carrel Folds to Silver's Shove

Nivel 7 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

On the {K-Clubs}{9-Spades}{8-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} turn, Charlie Carrel led for 10,000 out of the big blind and then faced a raise to 36,000 by fellow Brit Max Silver on the button. Carrel opted to call and lead again the {10-Spades} river for 27,000. Silver shoved and a staring contest started.

Silver tried to escape from that by putting his hoodie into his face, hiding his eyes, and Carrel folded a few minutes later.
