Max Deveson raised to 12,000 as first to act and was called by Sven Andersson in the big blind. Andersson check-called Deveson's bet of 6,000 on the Q♥2♠4♥ flop before both checked the 3♠ turn.
Andersson led out for 14,000 on the Q♠ river, seeing a quick fold from Deveson and chipping up further.
Thomas Fjellheim made a bet from the small blind on a flop of 10♥9♥10♣, after which Jean-Noel Thorel jammed in his stack of 69,000 chips from the hijack. Fjellheim immediately called as the cards were turned face-up.

Thorel needed an eight to stay alive, although the J♠ turn gave him some extra outs. The Q♦ river saw Fjellheim make a straight, however, raking in the pot and eliminating the French high roller from the tournament.

Ahmed Karrim moved all in preflop from under the gun and was called by Santhosh Suvarna in the small blind. Suvarna was at risk as players flipped their cards.

The board ran out 9♣2♠7♥6♦2♦ to give Suvarna a set of sevens on the flop. He won the pot and doubled his stack, leaving Karrim with just 6,000 chips.
The next hand, Karrim was committed in the big blind and called all in with A♥3♥. He lost out to Rehman Kassam, who won the pot with A♣4♣ when he paired his four on the flop.
Hassan Nashar in the small blind, Scott Margereson in the big blind, and Thomas Fjellheim in middle position had arrived on a turn of 7♣Q♦2♣K♣. Nashar checked, Margerson bet 23,000, and Fjellheim called. Nashar got out of the way.
The 4♣ river then completed the board, seeing Margereson slow down and check. Fjellheim took the opportunity to go all in for 64,000.
Margereson asked for a count but quickly folded once he heard the correct number, shipping the pot to Fjellheim.
Sam Grafton open shoved from middle position with a short stack of 62,000. He was called by Sven Stok in late position, who had him covered as players turned their cards.
