Hopkins' Bluff Turns into Top Pair
Nivel 23
: Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Thomas Eychenne raised to 50,000 from the button, and Joshua Hopkins defended out of the big blind.
Hopkins checked the 10♦8♣10♠ flop, and Eychenne bet 25,000. This was met by a check-raise to 90,000 from Hopkins. After a few moments, Eychenne called.
The action checked through on the 5♠ turn for the Q♠ to hit the river. Hopkins checked and faced a bet of 200,000 from Eychenne. Hopkins thought about it briefly but ultimately settled on a call.
Eychenne flipped over A♠9x for just ace-high, as Hopkins took down the pot with Q♥9♦ for a rivered pair of queens.
