Hallabro's Aces Trap Backfires
Nivel 6
: Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Yannis Berrandou raised to 1,200 from under the gun and Lars Romundstad three-bet to 3,700 in the hijack. Marcus Hallabro called on the button, and Berrandou also called.
On the Q♣3♣6♣ flop, Berrandou checked and Romundstad bet 6,300. Hallabro then shoved, Berrandou folded, and Romundstad called.
Marcus Hallabro: A♦A♥
Lars Romundstad: A♣K♥
Hallabro had laid the trap with aces but it didn't work out as he was left drawing dead after the 4♣ fell on the turn, which improved Romundstad to an unbeatable flush. A meaningless 3♦ completed the board, and Hallabro was eliminated.
