Andersson Doubles, Then Busts
Nivel 12
: Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Jean-Noel Thorel opened from under the gun. Action folded around to Sven Andersson, who moved all in for 85,000. Thorel called.
Sven Andersson: K♠4♦
Jean-Noel Thorel: A♥7♠
Andersson made two pair and doubled with the K♦J♥2♣3♠4♣ runout.
A few hands later, Nacho Barbero opened before Andersson moved all in once again. Barbero made the call as the covering stack,
Sven Andersson: A♥K♠
Nacho Barbero: K♦10♦
Andersson retained the lead on the K♣J♣8♥ flop with top pair, top kicker. Barbero mentioned "he had a bad feeling" about this hand. The 5♥ turn changed nothing, but the 10♠ river gave Barbero two pair. Andersson wished his tablemates luck before leaving the tournament area.
