Reitin Wheels In Double-Up
Nivel 9
: Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Arriving on a turn of 3♠10♠4♥2♥, James Clarke bet 6,500 into a pot of 23,500 from early position. Jonathan Reitin then raised to 13,000, leaving only 6,500 behind.
Clarke gave it some thought but ultimately made the call to put his opponent at risk.
Jonathan Reitin: A♣5♠
James Clarke: K♠K♥
Clarke's overpair was drawing dead against the straight of Reitin. Clarke complimented his opponent's hand as the meaningless 5♣ river completed the board, after which he paid him what he owed.
