Putz’s Back-and-Forth Battle
Nivel 23
: Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
In the first hand, Andreas Putz raised to 55,000 and faced an all-in from Jaison Cardoso, which he called.
Jaison Cardoso: J♦10♦
Andreas Putz: A♣K♦
Cardoso hit a ten on the 3♦Q♥10♥ flop, but Putz improved to a pair of kings with the K♠ turn. However, the 9♣ river gave Cardoso a straight, securing the double-up for him.
With only 85,000 left, Putz went all-in again in the very next hand, this time against Gabriel Cunha. Putz held Q♠Q♦, while Cunha had A♦J♠.
The board came 10♠8♦5♣6♦10♣, and Putz’s pocket queens held up, allowing him to double up.
