PokerStars have revealed details of this year's World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) festival, the 23rd installment of the historic flagship series.
With over $80 million in guaranteed prize pools, the festival sees 379 tournaments spread across the traditional three separate tiers: Low, Medium, and High. Buy-ins range from $5.50 to $25,000, and 12 World Championship events offer players a chance at further glory in various disciplines.

The action was caught as Patrick Viret, in the small blind, had a wager of 11,000 laying out in front of him. Rodrigo Araujo, in the hijack, responded with a raise, moving all in for approximately 26,000. Viret thought for some time before surrendering his hand and the pot.

Jose Blanco had bet 8,000 into a pot of 25,000 on a board of 5♣J♠3♥4♦. Eddie Vervoux then put his opponent all-in for 19,300 total.
Blanco had a tough time with the decision, eventually getting the clock called on him. Near the end of his countdown, he made the call for his tournament life.

Blanco had flopped a set but needed the board to pair against the straight of Vervoux. That did not happen on the 6♠ river, and the two players shared a fistbump before Blanco's stack was added to Vervoux's towers.

With about 12,000 in the middle on a turn board of J♠5♥4♦3♥, Aurelien Boisson checked his small blind to Anastasios Naoum in middle position who bet 10,000.
Boisson thought until a clock was called on him and then quickly moved all in for just over double his opponent's bet. Naoum quickly called and Boisson was drawing dead.

Teddy Merienne raised to 1,200 from the hijack, Fritz Nygren called in the cutoff and Isabella Goncalves De Oliveira, on the button, squeezed to 5,100.
Merienne called and Nygren moved all in, jamming for his last 24,000. De Oliveira called off the bet for her tournament life and Merienne stepped aside.
