Bonastre Reads the Bluff
Nivel 9
: Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Players were at the full Q♦4♠A♠8♣6♦ board when the pot stood at around 20,000. Svetlana Aubakirova had jammed and action was on Alsina Bonastre in the big blind to make a call or fold.
Bonastre took a little time before moving her stack in to call and the players flipped their cards.
Alsina Bonastre: Q♥10♣
Svetlana Aubakirova: 3x3x
Bonastre had a pair of queens which was enough to take the pot from Aubakirova, leaving her with a short stack.
After the hand there was a discussion at the table about the action that had happened with Bonastre commenting "I read the bluff, it was either an ace or a bluff".
