Astratov Doubles With Kings
Nivel 8
: Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Action folded around to Dmitrii Astratov, who raised from the small blind. Christos Sofocleous three-bet to 4,800 from the big blind, Astratov four-bet to 11,000 and Sofocleous called.
The flop came 5♥8♣10♦ and Astratov continued for 8,000, which Sofocleous called. The turn was the 10♠ and Astratov checked. Sofocleous pushed all in and Astratov quickly made the call with the shorter stack of 42,000.
Sofocleous flipped over 9♣9♦ for two pair, tens and nines. Astratov, however, had K♣K♠ for a higher two pair with his pocket kings.
The river came the 6♠ and Astratov held to win the pot, doubling up his stack.
