Kaufmann Puts Steindel In a Tough Spot
Nivel 17
: Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
The pot had grown to around 115,000 with two players looking at a full board of A♣6♥2♣8♦5♣.
Christian Steindel, in the big blind, checked the action to David Kaufmann, in the cutoff. Kaufmann placed a sizeable wager of 75,000, leaving himself around 35,000 behind the line.
Steindel, pained by his decision, tanked for several minutes before finally making the call. Kaufmann tabled A♠8♥ for two pair. Steindel rather disappointingly tabled A♦8♠ for the same holding. The pot was chopped and both players laughed at how anti-climatic the result of the hand was.
