Li Capitalizes on Herodotou's Mistake, Who Busts Shortly After

Nivel 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Shankui Li raised the button and Herodotos Herodotou called from the big blind.

On the A79 flop, Herodotou checked and Li bet 16,000, then some confusion followed as Herodotou put in 26,000 in chips, which was intended to be a call. However, the dealer informed Herodotou that this was deemed to be a raise, and a min-raise to 32,000 was enforced on the local player. Li then shoved, and Herodotou tanked for a while before he folded, preserving his remaining 55,000.

Shortly after, Herodotou was eliminated.

Ablemasov Leads River

Nivel 17 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Sami Ayyoub opened to 15,000 from under the gun. Igor Abelmasov called from the hijack and Mark Steven Smith called on the button.

Ayyoub led out for 17,000 on the 527 flop. Ablemasov called before Smith raised to 48,000. Ayyoub folded and Ablemasov called.

The 6 turn was checked by both players before Ablemasov led for 83,000 on the 8 river. Smith folded and ended up showing 75 for two pair.

Peternell Sets Trap

Nivel 17 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Lyudmil Ivanov opened to 12,000 under the gun and received a call from Silvia Peternell in the cutoff. Tom Vogelsang was in the small blind, and after some thought, he three-bet jammed with a stack covering both of his opponents.

Ivanov quickly folded but Peternell got her 170,000 total stack into the middle.

Silvia Peternell: AK All in
Tom Vogelsang: AJ

Peternell had Vogelsang's ace dominated, and her double-up was confirmed by the 854Q7 runout.

Kolosov Doubles

Nivel 17 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Kevin Hasler opened from the cutoff to 16,000. Serhii Kolosov moved all in from the small blind for 67,000. Hasler made the call.

Serhii Kolosov: AAAll in
Kevin Hasler: 33

Kolsov held across the 10K9KQ runout to secure the double up. One of his tablemates remarked "you've played two hands, aces and kings."

Kolsov simply replied, "why not."

Ranjehdel Hits Combo Draw to Eliminate Nughes

Nivel 17 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

On a flop of K46, Pouya Ranjehdel had fired 14,000 and Davide Nughes shoved for 120,000. "I don't think I can fold this hand," said Ranjehdel, before he stuck in the call.

Davide Nughes: KJ All in
Pouya Ranjehdel: 75

It was clear to see why Ranjehdel couldn't fold his hand as he had both straight and flush draws to try and crack the top pair of Nughes. Ranjehdel only needed one shot as the 4 on the turn gave him a flush, and Nughes couldn't boat up on the 2 river.

Li Continues Hot Start, Cracks Charalambous' Queens

Nivel 17 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Peter Charalambous sat in the big blind an all-in triangle in front of him and his stack of 96,000 in the middle. Shankui Li looked him up in the cutoff, leading to a showdown.

Peter Charalambous: QQ All in
Shankui Li: 77

"Ah, shit," Charalambous said as the flop came out 678. Li had flopped a set, leaving Charalambous with two outs in the deck.

They did not arrive on the K turn or 8 river and he said his goodbyes to his former tablemates. Meanwhile, Li received his chips as his stack ascended to more than 100 big blinds.

Betbese Punishes Brito

Nivel 17 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Nicolas Betbese
Nicolas Betbese

Action folded to Pablo Brito on the button, who decided to size up with his open, pumping it up to 36,000. Nicolas Betbese was in the small blind, and he produced a three-bet to 78,000. After a long period of thought, Brito, with about 160,000 behind, just called.

On the 1073 flop, Betbese took his time before moving all in with the covering stack, sending Brito into the tank. After around two minutes of thought, Brito made the call.

Pablo Brito: AQ All in
Nicolas Betbese: KK

Brito was in big trouble with ace-high versus Betbese's cowboys, and the 810 turn and river were bricks to send Brito to the exit.

Spragg and Hand Head Home

Nivel 17 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Benjamin Spragg
Benjamin Spragg

Leo Worthington-Leese raised to 12,000 under the gun. Pablo Minguez called in the seat next over before the action folded to PokerStars' Benjamin Spragg in the small blind.

He was down to 50,000, which he promptly put in the middle. Worthington-Leese looked him up before Minguez quickly got out of the way.

Benjamin Spragg: KK All in
Leo Worthington-Leese: JJ

"What a scorcher," Worthington-Leese said regarding Spragg's hand.

It started to look like a comfortable double-up for Spragg when the 5A4 flop and 5 turn posed no threat. The river came the J, however, giving Worthington-Leese a full house to send out Spragg.

"That's also a scorcher," Worthington-Leese noted.

The pair exchanged some banter before Spragg joined his fellow Red Spade Fintan Hand, who had busted some minutes earlier, on the rail.

Stephan Kurland: 84All in
Sebastien Compte: 96
