Ponakovs Using Big Stack to Abuse the Bubble

Aleksejs Ponakovs has open-shoved before the flop three times within the last orbit as the shorter stacks at the table were unwilling to put their tournament lives at stake, allowing Ponakovs to add to his lead without seeing a flop.

Markkos Ladev then raised to 65,000 under the gun and Ren Lin moved all in for 345,000 in middle position. Ponakovs gave it some thought before folding, while Ladev also mucked.

"Touchdown baby. I know how to play poker now. All in, it's easy," Lin said.

"What this table needs is some honest play, because nobody ever has jack shit except this guy with aces," Kayhan Mokri said, pointing to Ponakovs.

Kayhan Mokri opened to 60,000 in middle position as action went on Markkos Ladev on the button. He attempted to raise to 80,000 before the dealer informed him he had to make it at least 90,000. Mokri called and they went heads up to the 8♥3♥2♥ flop.

Ladev continued for 30,000 and Mokri raised to 75,000. Ladev called to the 8♣ turn, where Mokri bet another 145,000. Ladev quickly folded this time.

"I saw him looking at my open so I was little confused," Mokri said as he took the pot.
