Benjamin Lebo, in the small blind, checked the action to Oliver Heidel, in the cutoff. Heidel bet out 1,100 and Lebo clicked it back to 2,200. Heidel called.
The A♥ river saw Lebor bet again, this time for 4,000 and Heidel snap-called. Lebo rolled over J♠10♦ for a straight, but was beaten by Heidel's Q♦Q♣ for a full house.
Roberto Tassi open limped and Ramzi Karam raised to 1,100 from late position. Elie Saad called on the button and Tassi called.
The flop came 8♣7♠Q♥ and Tassi checked. Karam bet 1,500, Saad called and Tassi folded. The turn was the 8♠ and Karam checked. Saad made it 2,500 and Karam called.
The river was the A♣ and both players checked to showdown. Karam had K♠Q♣ for a pair of queens, two pair with the eights on board. Saad mucked and Karam won the pot.
Aliaksei Chernak raised to 500 from the button, receiving calls from both the blinds.
The action checked to Chernak, who bet out 900 on the 4♣9♦8♠ flop. Iulian Petrache, in the small blind, check-raised to 4,500 earning a fold from both the big blind and Chernak.
The cards are in the air and play has commenced for the day.

The 2024 PokerStars European Poker Tour Cyprus here at the Merit Royal Diamond Hotel Casino & Spa continues today with the $3,000 Mystery Bounty; Day 1 of this three-day event kicks off this afternoon at 2 p.m local time.
In 2023, it was Quan Zhou who emerged victorious after besting a field of 981 players. Zhou claimed the lion's share of the $1,683,396 prize pool, taking home $242,623 for the first-place prize.

This is the second Mystery Bounty tournament to take place at EPT Cyprus, with Marcelo Bonanata taking down the $10,200 Mystery Bounty last week. Bonanata triumphed over Aleksejs Ponakovs in heads-up play to claim the $99,300 up top and a further $57,500 in additional bounties.
Late registration will be open until the beginning of Day 2, which kicks off on Thursday, October 17 at 12:30 p.m. On Level 15 of Day 2, the Mystery Bounties will come into play. Of the total entry fee, $1,000 will be put into the bounty prize pool which will generate prizes that will be confirmed once the prize pool is finalized.
Anyone who enters the Mystery Bounty will receive a starting stack of 30,000. The plan for Day 1 is to play 12 40-minute levels and while the registration period is open, players are allowed unlimited reentries. There will be a 15-minute break every three levels with a 65-minute dinner break after level 9.
