Chen Builds Her Stack with Strategic Raises Against Gordo
Nivel 19
: Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
With around 70,000 in the pot and the flop showing 10♥7♣K♥, both Philip Joyce in the small blind and Guillermo Gordo in the big blind checked to Yisha Chen, who fired a bet of 20,000. Gordo was the only one to call.
When the 9♥ hit the turn, Gordo led out with a bet of 30,000, but Chen raised it to 80,000, prompting a call from Gordo.
The action played out similarly on the 9♠ river, with Gordo betting 27,000 this time. Chen responded by raising to 200,000, enough to make Gordo fold, allowing Chen to build her stack even further.
