Rezaei Wins With Nines Again; Pardo Hits Top Set on Korzinin
Aleksejs Ponakovs raised to 5,500 in the cutoff and Kayhan Mokri called in the small blind. Daniel Rezaei then three-bet to 26,000 in the big blind, Ponakovs four-bet to 65,000, and only Rezaei called.
The flop came Q♦10♣9♥ and Rezaei led out for 35,000. Ponakovs called and they both checked down the 4♥ turn and A♦ river. Rezaei showed 9♠9♣ for a set and Ponakovs mucked.
At another table, Juan Pardo and Vladimir Korzinin built a pot of around 150,000 as they went to the turn with the board showing K♦Q♣2♣4♣. Pardo then moved all in for 99,000 in the hijack and Korzinin called on the button.
Pardo showed K♠K♣ for top set and Korzinin went to muck his cards as the 6♥ completed the board. The dealer exposed his A♥3♥ before handing over the double up to Pardo.
