Throughout December, PokerNews will be running daily Added Value MTTs in which the winner shall receive a tournament ticket, of $11, for winning the MTT and this is on top of the prize pool itself. Buyins are an affordable $1.10 and there are also Leaderboard prizes for the top 10 finishers at the end of the month.
Any MTT in which registration closes with over 30 players, PokerNews will double the first-place ticket, so the incentive is there to get all of your poker-playing buddies involved and get even more value.
Lukas Rose was all-in for 18,500 from early position and was put at risk by Grudi Grudev a few seats down.
Lukas Rose: 2♣2♥
Grudi Grudev: Q♣Q♦
Rose was well behind with his underpair, and didn't get much hope on the K♣9♥6♠ flop. However, the 2♦ turn propelled Rose into the lead as he made a set, which left Grudev one chance to eliminate his opponent. The 4♥ river wasn't the queen he was looking for, and Rose doubled up.
Mauro Gees opened to 2,400 and received a call, before Gergely Rona three-bet jammed for 19,800 from the button. Gees rejammed for around 30,000, and the caller got out of the way.
Gergely Rona: K♠K♦
Mauro Gees: A♠Q♥
Rona had the goods, and although Gees flopped top pair on the Q♠10♦2♥8♦6♠ runout, it wasn't enough for the pot.
With around 5,000 chips in the pot on a board of 4♠4♦7♣Q♣, Salvatore Boi checked and Muhibur Rahman bet 3,500. Christian Baumdicker called, then Boi made it 25,000. Rahman then shoved his stack of almost 200,000 into the middle, which got Baumdicker to fold after a while. Boi, however, did the opposite and immediately called off his stack of almost 58,000.
Salvatore Boi: 10♥4♥
Muhibur Rahman: 4♣2♠
Both players had turned trips but it was the kicker of Boi that was playing with one card to come. There were some chop opportunities for Rahman to find, but the 10♠ river wasn't one of them as Boi made a full house and doubled up.
Ferenc Vardai opened to 2,500 from the cutoff, but George Steltman in the big blind three-bet to 7,200. Vardai called.
The dealer fanned a flop of A♥A♦3♠ and Steltman checked. Vardai checked back to find the J♣ turn where Steltman led out for 15,000. Vardai snap-folded.
