Speranzoni was in excellent shape to double up in the second level of the tournament, but the runout was unfortunate for him as the dealer revealed the 10♣ on the turn and the 7♥ on the river, completing a straight for Saberin, who now holds a double starting stack.

The 9♦Q♣8♦ flop checked through to the 8♠ on the turn. The action checked to Erlei, who took the lead for 1,500. Only Rizov called.

The 2♣ river checked to a showdown. Rizov rolled over A♦J♠ for ace-high, while Erlei won this pot with 3♠3♦.

Sergio Somma raised to 200 from under the gun, receiving calls from Daniel Budin, in early position, Sahin Can, in the hijack, and Davide Marabello, in the small blind.

The 3♦2♠K♦ flop checked through to the 4♥ on the turn. Marabello checked and Somma bet out 200. All players called.

The 7♠ river saw the action check to Can, who took the lead for 1,100. Marabello and Somma folded, while Budin made the call. Can rolled over K♠J♠ for top pair, winning him this pot.

An Early Chop Pot

The action was picked up on a board of 2♥7♣K♣K♥. Andrea Campi bet 2,500 from the big blind with Pascal Frezza calling from under the gun, and Mark Harmening calling from middle position.

The 7♠ hit the river and Campi bet 5,000. Frezza raised to 10,000 which only Campi called.

Frezza showed K♠9♠ for a full house and chopped the pot with Campi who had the same full house with K♦10♦.

Sutter Puts Pressure on Gerwig on the River

In the first level of the tournament, Tim Gerwig opened the action from middle position and was called by Nadja Sutter, seated directly to his left. When the action reached Guido Pezzotta in the small blind, he three-bet to 1,200, and both of his opponents called.

The flop came J♥9♥J♣, and both Pezzotta and Gerwig checked. Sutter bet 1,300, and only Gerwig called.

Both players checked the 9♦ on the turn.

When the dealer revealed the J♦ on the river, completing a full house on the board, Gerwig led out with a bet of 2,500. Sutter, however, raised to 12,000, which was enough to take down the pot.
