Ruggeri Hits a Miracle River to Triple Up
Nivel 14
: Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
The action was picked up on a full board of A♣7♣3♦K♥J♠, with Umberto Ruggeri holding the all-in button in front of him and Arthur Thiriart and Valeri Savov still active in the hand.
Thiriart bet 23,000 on the river, forcing Savov to fold his hand.
Thiriart revealed K♠K♦ for a set of kings, but Ruggeri tabled Q♦10♣, having completed a backdoor straight to secure a crucial triple up and stay in the tournament.
