Marques is the Now the Chip Leader
Nivel 35
: Blinds 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante
Paul Runcan raised to 1,400,000 from the button and Pedro Marques defended out of the big blind holding.
The flop came down Q♣K♥9♥ and Marques check-called a bet of 700,000 from Runcan.
A J♠ dropped on the turn and Marques check-called another bet from Runcan, this time for 3,200,000.
Marques checked for the last time upon seeing the J♣ hit the river. Runcan unloaded the clip with a third bet of 6,500,000, which Marques quickly called.
Runcan instantly mucked 6♦3♦, and Marques took down the pot without having to show his straight holding 10♥9♣.
For the first time since midway through Day 4, Runcan had relinquished the chip lead.
