Lodden Leaves Van Rooij Short
Nivel 30
: Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
Merijn van Rooij raised the button to 400,000 and Johnny Lodden called from the small blind.
The two players checked a board of K♠8♥8♣A♠3♣ all the way to river before Lodden fired out a bet of 1,400,000. Van Rooij went into the tank and started engaging in conversation with Lodden. Eventually, he talked himself into calling.
Lodden turned over 9♠8♠ for trip eights and Van Rooij could only muck his cards.
