Coleman Wins the Race to Knockout Fritz
Nivel 3
: Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
David Coleman raised to 3,000 from middle position and when it folded to Manuel Fritz in the cutoff, he three-bet to 11,000. It folded back to Coleman who four-bet to 30,000. The Fritz five-bet all in for his stack of 133,000, which was quickly called by Coleman.
Manuel Fritz: Q♠Q♣
David Coleman: A♥K♣
It was a classic race with Fritz at risk, but ahead for the moment with his pocket queens. But when the board ran out A♠K♦9♦2♥10♠ Coleman improved to two pair, aces and kings to take the pot and eliminate Fritz.
