Nivel 4 : 400/800, 75 ante

Hand 27: Anatoly Filatov raised to 1,700 and he won the blinds and antes.

Hand 28: Ami Barer raised to 2,400 from the small blind with {9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} and George Danzer called from the big blind with {Q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}. The flop came down {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and Barer bet 2,700. Danzer made the call and the turn was the {7-Clubs}.

Barer checked this time around and Danzer followed suit. The river was the {A-Clubs} and the action was checked once again. Danzer showed a winning pair and took down the pot.

At the completion Hand #28 there was a short break during which Team Ukraine's elimination was analyzed with Kara Scott and Eric Danis. When play resumed this was the following hand.

Hand 29: George Danzer won the pot after unknown action.

Hand 30: Dario Sammartino raised under the gun to 1,600 with {K-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}. Anatoly Filatov called from the big blind and the flop showed {7-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{6-Diamonds} on which Filatov checked. The turn was the {J-Clubs} after Sammartino checked as well. Filatov bet 2,500 on the turn and Sammartino made the call.

The river was the {4-Diamonds} and Filatov bet another 3,700 with, for us, unknown cards. Sammartino went into the tank and ultimately folded his cards.

Hand 23: Dario Sammartino made it 1,500 and George Danzer in the big blind came along to see a flop: {K-Spades}{10-Spades}{2-Hearts}. Danzer checked and Sammartino made a bet of 1.800. Danzer obliged and tossed in two yellow chips to call as well. With now 7,200 in the pot, the {9-Clubs} hit the turn. Danzer checked to Team Italy and a 2,500 bet followed. Danzer needed some time, but eventually folded.

Hand 24: Action folded to George Danzer in the small blind who found {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}. Team Germany raised it up to 1,900. Dan Smith in the big blind made the call with {J-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}. The two got {9-Spades}{8-Clubs}{J-Spades} to work with, pairing Smith and giving Danzer a gutshot. Danzer checked and Smith with his 78% hand bet 2,400. Danzer made the call.

The {5-Clubs} hit the turn and Danzer checked once more. Smith, with still the best hand, contemplated what to do for a few seconds before betting 8,500. Danzer, who's hand now worth just 9% according to the graphics, folded.

Hand 25: {4-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for George Danzer on the button and Team Germany opened for 1,500. Ivan Soshnikov in the big blind made the call with the {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs}. {8-Spades}{10-Spades}{6-Diamonds} on the flop, hitting no one and both players checked. The {2-Hearts} on the turn made Soshnikov check again. Danzer folded his arms, and checked behind. {A-Hearts} on the river and Soshnikov's hand was good. He had no way of knowing that though, and check folded to Danzer's 1,400 bet.

Hand 26: Oleksandr Gnatenko opened the hijack for 1,500. Dan Smith on the button had a monster with {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades} and three-bet to 4,500. Gnatenko with {7-Spades}{7-Clubs} made the call.

The flop was {7-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{J-Spades} and Gnatenko politely checked to Smith with his flopped set. Smith made a continuation bet of 5,800 and Gnatenko took his time to make a decision. Team Ukraine check raised to 17,000. Smith called the 11,300 extra and the two saw a turn: {Q-Spades}.

Smith picked up a flush draw and was faced by a bet of 25,000 into the 44,200 pot. Smith looked up in the sky for help. He wasn't getting any. With just seconds left, he called.

The {K-Hearts} on the river saved Smith! There was 99,200 in the pot and Gnatenko was first to act. Team Ukraine had just 36,350 behind and shoved all in. Smith double checked his cards and called after receiving a count.

Smith won the hand with a set of kings and Team Ukraine got knocked out!

Hands #17-18: Haxton Wins With Huge Bluff

Nivel 2 : 200/400, 50 ante
Isaac Haxton - Igor Yaroshevsky
Isaac Haxton - Igor Yaroshevsky

Hand 17: Marvin Rettenmaier received a walk in the big blind.

Hand 18: Action folded to Igor Yaroshevsky on the button who found a monster; he made it 1,000 with his {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}. Marvin Rettenmaier in the small blind called with his {A-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}, Haxton called from the big blind with {4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}.

The flop came {2-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{5-Clubs} and both blinds checked to Yaroshevsky. Team Ukraine made a continuation bet of 1,500 and Rettenmaier got frisky and raised to 4,100. Haxton, having flopped an open ended, thought for a bit and cold called. Yaroshevsky thought for some time and needed a timebank to make up his mind. He consulted with the rail and eventually called.

The {Q-Hearts} on the turn helped no one. Rettenmaier seemed to know enough and checked. Haxton checked as well. Yaroshevsky checked in position.

The {J-Hearts} on the river completed the board and Rettenmaier gave it some deep thoughts before checking with just 5 seconds left. With the pot at 15,600, Haxton also needed much of his timebank. Haxton bet 12,000 and Yaroshevsky had the decision. Again he needed much of his time and eventually folded his overpair.

Rettenmaier really wanted to call but couldn't make up his mind in the end. His hand was declared dead when he ran out of time.
