Rus Hits an Ace to Double; Vogelaar Left on Fumes
Nivel 28
: Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
John Vogelaar raised to 175,000 from the hijack and Mircea Rus shoved for 920,000 from the big blind. Vogelaar snap-called.
Mircea Rus: A♥10♥
John Vogelaar: J♠J♥
Vogelaar needed to fade an ace or some hearts to send everyone closer to the final table.
The 7♥7♠A♠ flop was disatourous for Vogelaar as Rus paired his ace to take a commanding lead. There was no help for Vogelaar on the 9♦ turn or K♣ river and the majority of his chips were sent over to Rus.
