Sowell Flops Top Two to Eliminate a Player

Nivel 11 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Action folded to a player in the cutoff who raised to 6,000. Then a player on the button three-bet all in for 18,000, which was called by the small blind Jeff Sowell, and the original raiser.

The flop came QK4 and Sowell checked to the cutoff who bet out 10,000, before Sowell raised to 70,000. After giving it some thought, the cutoff mucked his hand to give the side pot to Sowell, and leaving the two players heads up.

Button: 107 All in
Jeff Sowell: KQ

Sowell was in dominate position after flopping top two pair, leaving his opponent needing running cards to stay alive. The J on the turn did bring some outs giving him an open ended straight draw, but the 3 on the river was not help as Sowell still had the best hand, eliminating his opponent.
