Flush Over Flush Gives Jackson a Big One

A player opened the action with a raise to 800 from under the gun, and was called by Michael Sales in middle position, Matt Rogers in the cutoff, Mark Jackson on the button, and the big blind.

After the 3♦10♣K♣ flop, action checked to Rogers in the cutoff who bet out 500. He was called by all four players to head to the turn.

The turn brought the 9♣ and the big blind and under the gun player checked, when Sales led out for a bet of 2,000. Rogers folded before Jackson made the call, and both the big blind and under the gun player folded.

Heads up now, the river brought the A♦. Sales fired out 2,000 once again, before Jackson raised to 7,000. Sales wasted no time and put in chip to call, and turned over J♣6♣ for a flush. but Jackson tabled A♣7♣ for the nut flush to take the pot.

Welch Fades the Straight Flush Draw to Double Up

After the turn Dale Whiteside checked to Edward Welch who bet all in for his stack 18,300. Whiteside sat in the tank debating his decision, before electing to make the call to put Welch at risk.

It was a cooler flop as Welch flopped top pair-top kicker, and Whiteside flopped a gut shot straight flush draw. But when the river came the Q♠ Whiteside was not able to improve past the pair of kings from Welch and he doubled up, leaving Whiteside short.

Lonnie Boeding from the small blind bet out 1,500, before Harry Cheatham raised to 3,000. Boeding quickly made the call to see a turn.

Both players checked to showdown after the 6♠ on the turn, and 2♥ on the river. Boeding tabled 10♥10♦ which was good enough to take the pot, as Cheatham tossed his cards in the muck to give the pot Boeding.
