With a near identical field size of 128 entries, Day 1b will be playing to the last 20 players or until the end of level 15, whichever of the two comes first. More than half of the current field needs to bow out still as there are still 45 players left.

In a three-bet pot to the J♦7♦6♠ flop with 33,000 in the middle, the action was on Gilbert Tin Fook. He opted to overbet for 40,000 and Dave Nundloll reluctantly folded to get shown the Q♥Q♦. Both then talked a little back and forth but I couldn't tell what language it was, to be honest.

The brief flurry of late entries brought the field up to 127 entries and they are now on a short ten-minute break, during which the very last of hopefuls can still enter. Once the cards go back in the air, the registration will close.
During the two levels on the live stream table, no player had been eliminated but Sugen Singh dropped to a severe short stack. Matthew Whitelaw remained the biggest stack by a mile.
Singh was even at risk with A♦10♥ asgainst the 10♠10♣ of David Ng but escaped thanks to the A♠J♣6♠4♦J♥ runout.

Lauren Piha had done a couple of shots on the rail prior and then jumped into the Main Event Day 1b near the end of the late registration period. She doubled off Huawei Sun with A♠J♠ versus A♣10♣ thanks to a board of Q♣4♠2♥3♦6♠ that had missed both players. Piha then doubled through Rajeev Poonhath as well.
In the meanwhile, several other players busted in rapid fashion.

A short stack raised to 6,000 off 30,000 and Terry Brookes then reraised to massive 140,000 in the cutoff. Jehan Richards called all-in and Jonathan Woolley in the big blind tank-called for around 105,000. The initial raiser folded and later said he had pocket nines.
Jehan Richards: A♥Q♦
Jonathan Woolley: Q♣Q♠
Terry Brookes: K♦K♥
The board ran out 7♠6♣5♠9♥8♠ and they chopped it up with the straight on the board! Brookes had initially celebrated but was then happy not to have lost. He also added that he "didn't want any action" with his pocket kings and hence reraised so big,

Jehan Richards defended the big blind against a raise by Jonathan Woolley and they created a pot of 11,000 to the K♦4♦4♣ flop. That's when things got a bit dicey as Woolley ended up all-in and at risk.
Jonathan Woolley: K♥K♣
Jehan Richards: 7♣4♠
The J♠ turn and 7♥ river only gave Richards an inferior full house and Woolley doubled.

With more and more re-entries coming up on Day 1b and a rowdy atmosphere in the Side Events, the field size has reached 120 entries. Around 46 players remain so far and the attendance of the previous flight is now actually in reach.
