Nic Ioannoy raised from under the gun with the A♠3♣ and Alan Jung three-bet to 23,000 in the small blind with the A♣J♣. Adam Gamsy flat-called the big blind with J♠J♥ and Ioannoy came along to the 10♠7♠2♠ flop. Jung bet 17,000 and Gamsy was the only caller.
After the 8♦ turn, Jung bet 17,000 and Gamsy called, then did so again for 22,000 on the 10♦ river to catch Jung bluffing.
In three-way action to the 10♥6♥6♠ flop, Keegan Naidoo bet 13,000 and Gerrit van der Spoel was the only caller. Naidoo bet again the 5♠ turn for van der Spoel to call, they checked down the K♥ river when a possible flush arrived.
The 6♦3♦ for Naidoo were good as trips won the pot, leaving van der Spoel short.
Adam Gamsy opened to 8,000 with 6♦6♣ from under the gun and Jehan Richards called the 8♥8♦ in the cutoff. On the 10♦9♥6♥ flop, Gamsy bet 6,000, Richards raised to 20,000 and Gamsy called. Both checked the Q♥ turn and the 7♥ came on the river.
Gamsy now block bet by 7,000 and Richards only called with his flush to win the pot.
Ciro Koncke busted and jumped straight into Day 1c, while Muaaz Gani will likely do the same. He was left short after a turn lead and river check-raise by Reza de Bruyns on a board of 9♦7♣6♥K♠Q♥ and couldn't spin up the last seven blinds thereafter.
Only 36 players remain spread across four tables and they will aim to make it to the last 22 finishers who are set to advance from this flight.
Cliton Taliwanth raised to 6,000 with the A♠A♦ from under the gun and Jehan Richards defended the big blind with the Q♥10♠. On the Q♣4♦3♠ flop, Richards found top pair and check-called for 4,000 to then do the same on the Q♦ turn for 5,000. Richards pushed the 8♠ river and Taliwanth called off the last 7,000 to hit the rail.
In a three-bet pot to the A♥10♦6♥ flop, Keegan Naidoo bet 26,000 and forced a fold to reveal the A♣K♥ before collecting the pot.
One table over, Imran Bhojani opened to 6,000 and Ciro Koncke three-bet to 16,000. Alan Jung piled in his last 64,500 from the big blind and forced two folds thereafter.

Boston Rob also revealed a story about Costa Rican authorities raiding a mansion known to host high-stakes poker games during a 2006 filming that included Daniel Negreanu, Josh Arieh, David Williams, Michael Mizrachi and actress Cheryl Hines.
"(Gambling mogul) Calvin (Ayre) had a big party at the house, and they came in guns drawn," he said. "And we were fine, but we all had to stay at the party until they checked our passports and everything. I think it was a little bit of a shakedown. But we had a good weekend."
Cliton Taliwanth limped in with the Q♣9♣ from the small blind and Darren Kramer raised to 9,500 with the A♦Q♦ in the big blind.
Taliwanth check-caleld the A♣Q♥9♥ flop for 8,000 and did so again for 18,500 on the 10♦ turn. Taliwanth led the 7♠ river for 18,500, then called the all-in of Kramer with the inferior two pair.
Throughout a board of 5♣3♣2♥K♠J♥, Sheldon Grove and Marina Vechirskaya got small bets of 12,000 into the middle. Grove's final bet was called and he asked Vechirskaya if she had a king or jack before showing his 4♦4♠.
Vechirskaya shook her head and flashed ace-trey for an inferior pair and missed gutshot.
