One of the short stacks in the field got it in for less than the starting stack with the A♦10♦. They were up against the A♥Q♠ of Rudalf Frick, who had a sweat throughout the 7♦4♦3♠9♣J♠ board but held for the knockout.

Darren Kramer advanced with a shorter stack on Day 1b and is currently trying to get through with more. He had not succeeded in running up a stack yet when he was all-in with A♠J♠ versus A♣9♣. There was a nine on the flop but the J♣ river saved Kramer.
Some of those less fortunate can be found below.
Mario Fata raised to 3,000 on the button and both blinds called. On the Q♦J♦8♦ flop, it checked to Fata and he bet 2,500. Only Tim Akinnusi in the small blind check-called.
Akinnusi then check-called the A♠ turn for 7,000 before the Q♣ river completed the board. He checked again and Fata bet 30,000 with 500 chips behind. The clock ran down to near zero and Akinnusi folded.
Soon after that, Remy Murcia opened to 3,000 and two players including Fata called. Akinnusi jammed for 47,500 in the cutoff and everyone folded.
Aidan Jacobs raised to 3,500 and then called a three-bet to 7,000 by Marina Vechirskaya with the 8♥8♣. He check-called the 7♣5♣2♦ flop for 15,000 when Vechirskaya bet her K♠K♦ and the J♣ fell on the turn. Jacobs checked again and Vechirskaya now bet bigger to win the pot uncontested.
Rayhaan Adam and Ryan Brauer got their chips in preflop and both revealed strong suited aces in the following showdown.
Rayhaan Adam: A♦Q♦
Ryan Brauer: A♠K♠
Brauer was ahead but that all changed on the Q♥Q♣6♦ flop. The A♣ turn brought one out for a split pot but the J♦ river let Adam double for 35,500.

The short stacks of Tim Akinnusi and Wesley Blom went into the middle preflop with the former at risk for 35,500 with the K♥K♠. Blom was beaten by a notch and revealed the Q♦Q♣.
There was no drama on the A♣8♥3♥3♠2♦ board and Akinnusi doubled. Blom got very few chips back the next hand when he showed a turned full house with K♥2♠ before then busting with a vocal "player out".
"I knew he had fuck all," a shorter stack said after they had just busted to Bruno de Carvalho. Their cards were still exposed, the 2♦2♥, while de Carvalho raked in the pot.
On a board of Q♠Q♣9♠6♠A♣, the K♠8♠ of de Carvalho had turned a flush to reduce the field by one.
