Mitchell Johnson raised to 60,000 from the small blind and Thomas Harbrecht-Parker three-bet to 200,000 from the big blind. Johnson then ripped it in the middle for 580,000, and Harbrecht-Parker quickly called.

Johnson's future in the Main Event looked bleak and even his suits were covered by his opponent. The flop of Q♣J♠K♦ gave Harbrecht-Parker an open-ended straight draw and Johnson an inside straight draw, though two of his outs were gone.

Things took a drastic twist on the 10♣ turn as Johnson found a two-outer to make a straight, the same card that gave Harbrecht-Parker a set. A board-pairing river would change the outcome of the hand, but instead the 6♦ rolled off, earning Johnson an unlikely double-up.
