Soyza Gets What He Wants

Nivel 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Michael Soyza
Michael Soyza

Tomas Telek opened 2,400 under the gun and both Monika Zukowicz and Ji Jia called before Michael Soyza jammed for roughly 25,000 from the big blind. Telek called off his stack of about 16,000. Zukowicz and Jia mucked their hands.

Tomas Telek: 1010 All in
Michael Soyza: AJ

"Tens! Exactly what I wanted," Soyza said excitedly as the cards were table.

The news got even better for Soyza as the dealer fanned the A73 flop, leaving Telek drawing thin. The 4 turn and 6 river were no help and Telek stood up from the table.

Ducks for Zinno

Nivel 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Seonguk Huh opened 2,400 in the hijack and only Anthony Zinno came along from the button.

The dealer fanned a flop of 753, and Huh check-called a bet of 4,000 from Zinno.

Both players proceeded to check on the 10 turn and the 9 river. Huh rolled A6 for ace-high and Zinno pulled in the pot with 22.

Boika Binks But So Does Damasceno

Nivel 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

On a flop of 248, there was already a good amount in the middle when Edipo Batista Damasceno bet and Aliaksei Boika moved all in. The former quickly called off for 18,800 total and the hands were turned up.

Edipo Batista Damasceno: QQ All in
Aliaksei Boika: A10

Boika didn't have much of anything but that all changed when the A spiked on the turn to give him the lead. The air was let out of Damasceno, but he quickly inflated with excitement when the Q peeled off on the river to give him the two-outer save.

Deeb Visibly Frustrated as he Busts to Joy

Nivel 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Shaun Deeb
Shaun Deeb

Michael Acevedo opened 2,100 and Dennis Joy flatted the button before Shaun Deeb three-bet to 10,600 from the small blind. Acevedo called and Joy moved all-in, covering both opponents. Deeb went into the tank, and eventually called off his stack of around 40,000 before Acevedo mucked his hand.

Shaun Deeb: AJ All in
Dennis Joy: QQ

Joy was able to avoid the ace as the dealer ran out the 10657J board. Deeb gave a slight shake of his head and splashed his remaining chips toward Joy before turning and walking away from the table.

Lootsma Flops Quads to Send Two Out

Nivel 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Werner Lootsma
Werner Lootsma

David Kaufmann jammed his last 6,100 under the gun and Gergo Nagy called next to act. Werner Lootsma was on the button and moved all-in for roughly 32,000. The blinds quickly folded and Nagy called off his stack of about 27,000.

David Kaufmann: A10 All in
Gergo Nagy: 1010 All in
Werner Lootsma: 99

Lootsma was way behind but he smashed the 996 flop, making four of a kind. The 5 turn meant both players were drawing dead as they stood up from their seats and the 2 river was just a formality.

Korkmaz Has a Kicker Problem

Nivel 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Arunas Sapitavicius opened for 2,200 and Koray Korkmaz moved all in for 8,000 from the cutoff. Andre Marques flatted out of the big blind and Sapitavicius got out of the way before the hands were turned up.

Koray Korkmaz: JQAll in
Andre Marques: AJ

The 96J paired both players but Korkmaz had a kicker problem. The 7 turn didn't resolve it, and despite the J river improving Korkmaz to trips, Marques also improved and his kicker made the difference.

Triton Million Hands of the Week: Ivey Loses $1,000,000; Brutal Bubble Bustout for Ryan Feldman

Nivel 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

The 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Paradise, which is taking place on Paradise Island in The Bahamas, got off to a big start with the $500,000 buy-in Triton Million, which marked the WSOP's first partnership with Triton Poker.

It was a unique tournament that paired an invitee with a poker pro – each putting up a $500,000 buy-in – and then competing in respective fields on Day 1 before combining on Day 2. The tournament, which was being live reported by PokerNews, featured 74 players (37 pairs) and much to our surprise saw two players get their chips all in on the very first hand of the tournament.

It was a big hand, but just one captured by the PokerNews Live Reporting Team. Here is a look at five other either big or game-changing hands from the Triton Million.
