Jeff Shulman
Jeff Shulman

Sterling Doubles Through Demes

Matt Sterling was all in preflop and at risk with {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts} against the {K-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} of Brandon Demes. The flop was a great one for Sterling as it came {A-Spades}{9-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} which left Demes needing running queens or a running straight to deliver the knockout. The {3-Hearts} turn secured the double up for Sterling and the {2-Spades} river was a mere formality.

Demes Takes the Chip Lead From Keller

Nivel 21 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

About 20 minutes ago, Shawn Keller had twice as many chips as second place, but after Brandon Demes took another good pot off Keller, he has now taken the lead. Keller raised in the cutoff and Demes three bet on the button. The blinds folded, and Keller called. The flop came {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{4-Spades}, and Keller check-raised Demes. Demes called, and the turn came the {k-Diamonds}. Keller check-called, and he did the same on the river, the {8-Clubs}, and Demes showed {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}. Keller mucked, and Demes is your new chip leader!
