Break

Nivel 4 : 150/300, 75 ante

We're four levels deep, four to go. Ah but first, the thirty-minute break. We'll be back after a while to play another four levels.

Williams Makes a Move

Nivel 4 : 150/300, 75 ante
David Williams

We just caught the tail end of the pot, walking up as a middle-aged gentleman had a bet of 1,625 out in front of him. He also had {8-}{7-}{6-}{4-}{2-} and he'd exposed his hand prematurely as David Williams had raised to 4,000. The unknown gentleman spent a long while in the tank considering his play, eventually settling on a fold.

Williams showed {10-Clubs} {10-Spades} as the dealer pushed him the pot, and it pushes his stack up to about 50,000.

Hall Gets a Scare

Nivel 4 : 150/300, 75 ante

We came upon a table where Galen Hall and another player had just gone all in. The draw had not yet taken place, but the other player started to reveal his hand and a unanimous "WHOA!" came from the table as they attempted to stop him.

Hall's mouth dropped and he seemed unsure of what to do. It seemed he was now wondering if the overly anxious player had the nuts. After the other player officially stood pat, Hall reluctantly opted to stand pat as well and Hall said "eight-six perfect" as he revealed his {8-}{6-}{4-}{3-}{2-}.

It turned out Hall's trepidation was unwarranted as the other player only had {10-}{8-}{6-}{5-}{4-} and Hall scooped up a large pot.

After the hand Hall's stack was around 30,000 while the other player was left with a mere 5,200.

Bonyadi's Boost

Nivel 4 : 150/300, 75 ante

In early position, Carlos Mortensen raised to 800, and Farzad Bonyadi called from the big blind.

Bonyadi took one card, and he must have liked what he saw. Mortensen patted, and he called a bet of 2,500 from Bonyadi. The {8-}{7-}{6-}{4-}{3-} showed up on Bonyadi's side of the felt, and Mortensen mucked. He's still the big stack, but he's fallen back to about 70,000.

Bonyadi is up to about 19,000 with that pot.

BrokeLivingJRB

Nivel 4 : 150/300, 75 ante

While strolling through the Yellow Section of the Pavillion Room, we saw Jean-Robert Bellande standing up at his table with a scowl fixed upon his face. We examined the table, and we saw that "King" Dan Smith had {2-}{4-}{6-}{10-}{J-} spread in front of him. Bellande was all in for his second 10K chip, and dropped his hand face-down in front of him.

Smith raked in the pot, pushing his stack above 50,000 chips, and Bellande finally sat down. The dealer then opened JRB's hand because it was an all in, exposing {2-}{3-}{3-}{5-}{7-}.

"Goddamn," he blurted. "F***. When I try that s**** I always get f***ed."

Mortensen On Top

Nivel 4 : 150/300, 75 ante
Carlos Mortensen
Carlos Mortensen

Carlos Mortensen appears to be the big stack in the tournament with about 74,000 at the moment.

Most recently, he added about 15,000 to his stack when his {9-}{7-}{6-}{4-}{2-} bested Calvin "cal42688" Anderson's holdings, forcing Anderson to use his remaining two add-on chips.

Nothing But Trash Can

Nivel 4 : 150/300, 75 ante

Greg Raymer was just offered 10-1 that he couldn't toss a water bottle into a trash bin three tables away from his. Raymer took the bet, and successfully drained the 25-footer - despite having pretty poor form.

We're not sure who bet him, but a few minutes later Nick Schulman handed him a wad of Benjamins.
