Eli Elezra Electric on Day 2

Eli Elezra has been our chip leader Through days 1 and 2.

Stud-8:

We caught the aftermath of a hand in which chip leader Eli Elezra scooped the pot with queens up. The dealer scrambled the cards before we could accurately record them, but we saw two queens and two fives among Elezra's holding and the entire pot was shipped his way.

On the very next deal, Elezra and one opponent played it down to seventh street.

Elezra: (X)(X) - {8-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{2-Clubs} - (X)
Opponent: (X)(X) - {4-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{8-Hearts}{2-Hearts} - (X)

Elezra led out on third and fourth streets and was called both times. On fifth and sixth streets, both Elezra and his opponent opted to check. After the dealer tossed each player a down card on seventh street, Elezra fired a bet of 4,000 at his opponent, who responded by saying, "You don't have to bet just because you caught it," before she made the call.

Elezra flashed a smile at the other player as he tabled the {A-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{A-Clubs} for a busted flush draw and a pair of aces made on seventh street. The opponent held {3-}{5-}{7-} for a 2-3-4-5-7 low and the pot was chopped.

After the hand Elezra told the table, "Nobody wants to give me credit... but that's fine, keep doing it," as he added even more chips to his growing castle.
