Ben Yu Eliminated in 13th Place ($12,148)

Nivel 22

Razz

Ben Yu: ({x-}{x-}) / {7-}{5-}{k-}{4-} / ({x-})
Mikko Pispala: ({x-}{x-}) / {4-}{q-}{k-}{3-} / ({x-})

We caught the hand on fifth street, where Yu led out and Pispala called. Yu led out again on sixth, Pispala again called, and both players checked on seventh.

Yu announced, "Jack."

Pispala opened up {9-}{8-}{6-}{4-}{3-} for a ninety-eight low, and won the pot. The hand left Yu very short, and was eliminated a few hands later.

Hooman Nikzad Eliminated in 14th Place ($12,148)

Nivel 21
Hooman Nikzad - 14th place
Hooman Nikzad - 14th place

Razz

Hooman Nikzad only had about 25,000 chips left to start the hand, and they all went in rather quickly against Eric Buchman. Nikzad began with ({8-} {4-}) {J-}, and he was an underdog against Buchman's ({8-} {7-}) {3-}.

Nikzad ran out ({8-}{4-}) / {j-}{q-}{k-}{6-} / (x) and it was not going to be good news. Buchman's board came ({8-}{7-}) / {3-}{10-}{2-}{2-} / ({a-}), and Nikzad was board-locked by sixth street. His seventh card was meaningless, and he's out in 14th place.

Kornuth Runs Down Limongi

Nivel 21

2-7 Triple Draw

Adam Geyer raised from the button, and Adam Kornuth three-bet from the small blind. In the big, Michele Limongo put in another raise to make it three bets, and Geyer quickly folded. Kornuth called, though, and off they went.

Limongi patted all the way while Kornuth drew one on all three rounds. He got there. Limongi began with {10-}{8-}{5-}{4-}{2-}, and Kornuth improved to a {9-}{8-}{6-}{5-}{2-} on the last pull. His ninety-eight is good, increasing his stack to 280,000 while Limongi falls to about 250,000.

Pair is No Good

2-7 Triple Draw

The action folded to Desmond Portano who completed in the small blind, and John Racener checked his option in the big. Portano drew three, and Racener drew four. Portano led out, Racener called, and it was off to the second draw.

Both players drew two, and Portano check-called a bet from Racener. On the third and final draw, Portano drew one, and Racener stood pat. Portano check-called one last bet.

"Pair," Racener announced.

Portano opened up {9-}{8-}{7-}{5-}{2-} for a ninety-eight low, and shipped the pot.

2-7 Triple Draw

Eric Buchman put in two bets from early position, Mayu Roca Uribe made it three bets from the small blind, and Buchman called. Both players drew one card, Uribe bet, and Buchman called.

Both players drew one on the second draw as well, Uribe got the rest of his chips in, and Buchman called.

Buchman: {8-}{7-}{4-}{3-}
Uribe: {5-}{4-}{3-}{2-}

Both players drew one, and Uribe flipped over a {5-} for a pair. Buchman was dealt a {j-} for a jack-eight, shipped the pot and eliminated Uribe.

Greg Dyer Eliminated in 16th Place ($9,845)

Greg Dyer - 16th place

Owais Ahmed raised from the hijack seat, and Greg Dyer reraised from the button. Ahmed made the call, and off they went to the draw.

Both players took two cards, and Ahmed made the bet. Dyer raised with the additional 15,000 he had left. Ahmed called, and he patted the rest of the way while Dyer took one card each time.

Ahmed tabled his {8-}{7-}{4-}{3-}{2-} while Dyer's {8-}{6-}{4-}{3-} was drawing only to a deuce or a five. He peeled a {10-}, though, and that's that. Dyer's day is done in 16th place, good for a pay bump up to nearly five figures.

Nikzad Keeps Keepin' On

Nivel 21

2-7 Triple Draw

Hooman Nikzad raised from the cutoff seat, and Eric Buchman called to go heads-up the rest of the way.

Both players took two cards on the first draw, and Buchman bet it. Nikzad raised, Buchman reraised, and Nikzad dropped his last 500 chips into the pot to put himself all in. Both players took one card apiece on the second and third drawing rounds.

Buchman showed {8-}{6-}{5-}{3-} and he pulled another {5-} to pair. Nikzad just had to avoid a bad pair with his {9-}{6-}{3-}{2-}, and the {j-} he pulled secured his double. He's back in the game once again with about 75,000 while Buchman drops a bit to 355,000 or so.
