Not only is it the name of our favorite all-purpose cleaner, but it's also where our current registration tally sits right now. Last year's number hit 453, and it figures to be a good line for this year's field as well. The window still open for more than two levels, closing at the start of Level 5.

... and a few new names, too.

Juanda Breaks the Tie

Nivel 2

Stud

A trey brought it in, and a player we don't recognize completed with the {A-Diamonds} up. John Juanda came along with the {4-Clubs} showing, and it was heads up the rest of the way.

Juanda: (x-x) / {4-Clubs} {Q-Spades} {10-Clubs} {8-Clubs} / (x)
Opponent: (x-x) / {A-Diamonds} {2-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds} {A-Hearts} / (x)

Mr. Opponent fired out follow-up bets on fourth and fifth streets, but he checked sixth hen he paired his ace. Juanda took his cue to bet, and he was called to go to seventh street. When it checked to him again, Juanda bet one last time, but his opponent snuck in a check-raise. Juanda shook his head and dropped the other two chips into the pot.

With trembling hands, Mr. Opponent showed up {10-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds} {J-Hearts} for the diamond flush: {A-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds} {2-Diamonds}. Juanda studied for a moment, then revealed his down cards: {A-Clubs} {J-Clubs} {5-Spades}. That makes him an {A-Clubs} {J-Clubs} {10-Clubs} {8-Clubs} {4-Clubs}, and the fourth card breaks the tie. Juanda's flush is best, and he's up to 9,900 with that pot.

Arieh Gets Aces Up

Nivel 2

Hold'em

We came to the table with the board reading {9-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{k-Clubs}. Arieh checked in the small blind, and called his opponent's 200 chip bet. The turn came the {a-Spades}, and Arieh decided to bet out. His opponent called, and the river came the {4-Hearts}. Arieh bet again, and was called again. Arieh showed {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}, and his opponent mucked. Arieh is one of the first few players to break the 10,000 mark, sitting on 10,200.

Seed Loses Chips Early

Nivel 2

Stud

Opponent: (x)(x) / {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} / (x)
Seed: (x)(x) / {j-Spades}{a-Spades}{q-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} / (x)

An opponent in middle position completed, and Huck Seed called with the {j-Spades} showing. From there, Seed's opponent bet out on every single street, including betting dark on seventh. Seed called up until the final card, when he took a few looks at his under cards before folding. The hand dropped Seed to 6,600, still plenty of chips this early.

Late Table Of Death

Nivel 2

Whenever you late register for any tournament, especially a mixed game tournament, you run the risk of sitting down at a packed table. That is the case at Table #37, where Bryn Kenney, Justin Young, Erica Schoenberg, and Jean-Robert Bellande all current residing. We will be sure to keep an eye out on that table.

Cernuto Gets Paid

Nivel 1

Stud

We caught the last half of this pot, walking up as Adam Friedman and John Cernuto were heads-up on fifth street.

Cernuto: (x-x) / {Q-Hearts} {J-Diamonds} {8-Diamonds} {10-Spades} / (x)
Friedman: (x-x) / {4-Hearts} {3-Clubs} {2-Hearts} {10-Clubs} / (x)

Cernuto led the betting the whole time we were standing there, getting bets in on fifth, sixth, and seventh streets with Friedman calling him down to the end.

Cernuto showed {9-Hearts} {9-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds} / {Q-Hearts} {J-Diamonds} {8-Diamonds} {10-Spades}, and his straight to the queen earns him the pot. With it, Miami John moves up to about 9,800, while Friedman falls back to 4,975.

Cheong Pairs, Folds

Nivel 2

Razz

David Williams completed with a {5-} showing, and Joseph Cheong called with a {3-} up. Williams bet on fourth ({10-}), fifth ({2-}), and sixth ({J-}). Cheong pulled a {J-} on fourth and called, and he called another bet when he got a {7-} on fifth. Sixth was another {7-}, though, and Cheong was forced to lay it down.

The 2010 November Niner has had a good start to the day, though, up to about 10,500 despite that loss. Williams is down to 4,400 from his starting stack.
