Sean Getzwiller Eliminated in 9th Place ($36,669)

Nivel 23 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
Sean Getzwiller - 9th Place
Sean Getzwiller - 9th Place

From the button, Adam Junglen opened to 60,000 only to have Sean Getzwiller move all in from the small blind for 660,000. Junglen deliberated for a few moments before eventually making the call.

Getzwiller: {A-Spades}{8-Spades}
Junglen: {2-Spades}{2-Clubs}

The {6-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{9-Hearts} flop gave Getzwiller no immediate outs, but with plenty of runner-runner combinations, the {6-Spades} on the turn was perfect for Getzwiller as he needing any ace, queen, nine, eight or spade to survive.

Unfortunately for the Event #8: $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em Champion, the river would fall the {K-Hearts} to end his double-bracelet chase in 9th place for a $36,669 payday. With that pot, Junglen moves to roughly 4,050,000 in chips.

Terry Shoves

Nivel 23 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Scott Baumstein opened to 70,000 from middle position only to have Todd Terry move all in for 580,000 in chips from the small blind.

Baumstein contemplated his decision for a few moments before eventually making the fold.

Let's Hear It For The Three-Bet

Nivel 23 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Todd Terry raised from the cutoff to 75,000 only to be quickly three-bet by Adam Junglen to 180,000. It folded back to Terry who quickly mucked his cards, awarding Junglen the pot.

The next hand Scott Baumstein made it 70,000 to go from late position only to have Tom Marchese make it 185,000 from the cutoff. Baumstein folded and gave Marchese the pot.

It seems that at this table so far, three-betting preflop has been enough to take down pots.

Marchese's Pair is Better

From early position, Mark Radoja raised to 49,000 and was called by Scott Baumstein, Tom Marchese, and Nikita Lebedev. The flop came {2-Hearts}{9-Spades}{A-Hearts}. Radoja continued out for 85,000. Baumstein sent his cards into the muck, Marchese made the call, and Lebedev folded.

The turn fell {2-Clubs} and the action went check-check. On the river when the {K-Clubs} hit, both players checked once again. Radoja tabled {3-Spades}{3-Clubs} but was beat by Marchese's higher pocket pair of {J-Spades}{J-Diamonds}.

Check-Raise Victory for Lebedev

Nivel 22 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Adam Junglen opened to 55,000 from under the gun and Nikita Lebedev made the call from the small blind to see a {9-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} flop fall.

The action was checked through to see the {10-Spades} land on the turn and a delayed continuation-bet of 70,000 follow from Junglen once Lebedev checked.

Lebedev however responded with a check-raise to 225,000, and after considering his options, Junglen kicked his cards to the muck.
