Some Chips For You to Snack On

Medic Needs A Medic

Nenad Medic
Nenad Medic

Nenad Medic and his super short stack are out of the tournament.

A player in middle position raised it up to 9,000 and Medic went all in for his last 12,500. The small blind however, re-raised to 25,000 and the initial raiser moved all in and got an insta-call from the small blind.

Small Blind: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Medic: {j-Hearts}{10-Spades}
Middle Position: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}

The board ran out {8-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{6-Spades}{4-Spades} Medic hit the rail, and the small blind player won the hand and scored a double up.

Action is Sloooooooowwwwwwing

Nivel 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Action has slowed down quite bit in the last half hour of play. With blinds at 2,000/4,000 most of the field is very deep stacked. Most of micro stacks busted before dinner or just after. The over/under number for players remaining at the end of Day 2 was at 12 at the start of the day. It seems as if the over will be the smart bet.

Cohen Doubles

Nivel 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

After raising back and forth with another player, Jesse Cohen announced he was all in and the other player didn't take much time in calling.

Cohen: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}
Opponent: {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}

The board ran out {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{2-Spades} and Cohen's aces helped him double his stack to around 240,000.

Kitai Takes Big Hit

Davidi Kitai and Peter Gilmore got heads up in a pot where there was an open raise and a call preflop. The board came {9-Clubs} {7-Diamonds} {10-Spades} and they got it all in. Kitai held {A-} {10-} and Gilmore held {Q-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds}. Gilmore was at risk for his tournament life and the turn and river came {K-Spades} {10-Diamonds}. Gilmore hit his straight and Kitai sent a few stacks of chips over -- 86,700 to be exact.

Medic Makes a Move

Nivel 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Nenad Medic raised from under the gun (we missed the exact amount) and the player in the cutoff re-raised to 11,500. Medic then upped the bet to 31,500 and the player in the cutoff went into the tank. After quite a bit of deliberating the cutoff reluctantly showed an ace and folded his hand.

The table practically begged Medic to show his hand and he decided to oblige, showing the {7-Clubs}{6-Spades}.

Medic now has around 150,000.

Le Calls on the River and Mucks

Nivel 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Tuan Le and Gylbert Drolet built a sizable pot by the time we got to the table. They were at the river with the board reading {4-Hearts} {5-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds} {9-Spades} {8-Diamonds}. Drolet had put out 30,000 and Le was shuffling and reshuffling a handful of chips while considering his options. Le elected to call after a few moments and Drolet tabled {Q-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds} for a flush. Le looked as if his hand was the winner before the river and kicked his cards into the muck.

Busted by Busquet

Nivel 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Olivier Busquet
Olivier Busquet

After getting all the chips in preflop, Olivier Busquet's {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds} was leading another player's {4-Hearts}{4-Clubs}. The board ran out {q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and Busquet sent the other player to the rail.

Busquet's stack is now a little above the average at 206,000.
