Event #3: End of Day 2

Nivel 20 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Event #3 began Day 2 with 201 players and by the end, we have 25 remaining. Francesco Barbaro started the day in seventh place with 58,800 but has amassed a whopping 459,000 and is our chip leader. Matt Waxman is closely behind with only 1,000 less than Barbaro at 458,000.

Barbaro stormed into the lead early in the day when he bested our Day 1 chip leader Guillaime Rivet in a pot. Barbaro's {A-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{6-Spades}{5-Diamonds} was good enough on a {4-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} board to boost his stack to 211,000 at the time.

Other notables and big stacks include Vladimir Shchemelev at 335,000, Jimmy Fricke with 278,000, Humberto Brenes at 160,000 and Scott Clements at 84,000.

Those who were not lucky enough to survive the day but still left with some money included Jeff Shulman, Andy Seth, John D'Agostino, Josh Arieh, Bryan Micon, Ted Lawson, James Bord, Barry Greenstein, James Dempsey, Erik Seidel, Chau Giang, Men Nguyen and Allen Cunningham.

Players will return for play tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. in the Amazon Room once again. The $25,000 Heads-Up will continue as will the $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em and $1,500 Stud. Our first Limit and Pot-Limit Hold'em events of the series will also kickoff tomorrow with the $1,500 Limit Hold'em and $10,000 Pot-Limit Hold'em. Join us tomorrow once again for all of our coverage.
