During the last hour we were questioned briefly by casino security personnel regarding the case of a missing scooter. Apparently a player in the Seniors Championship parked his scooter nearby while competing in the event, and in the ultimate of bad beats, he hit the rail to discover somebody had made off with his ride.
While this may be simply a mix-up, with one player confusing their vehicle with another, the security guards here at the Rio were taking the matter seriously. They have begun their investigation with the age-old method of retracing the victim's steps, and at the pace we last saw them walking, the search for the missing scooter may go on long into the night.
