Grande Costa Rican Cojones!
About three hands before breaking, action started to get a little crazy at Gavin Smith and Humberto Brenes' table.
Action folded around to Smith who completed from the small blind. Brenes plopped a stack of chips in the middle, effectively moving Smith all in. Smith showed and mucked his cards.
The next hand action folded around to Smith once again, this time on the button. Smith moved his stack all in and Humberto made the call. The big blind folded and the hands were turned up:
Smith:
Brenes:
The flop fell and Smith was still way behind. He caught a miracle though, with the on the turn and Brenes let out a big "Ohhhhh!" laughing along with the rest of the table. The fell on the river and Smith doubled up to 4,700 while Brenes dropped to 1,200.
The next hand Brenes pushed his stack all in and it folded around to another player who capped his cards.
"Come on!" Brenes said "I need my chips back! I gave them to [Smith] and now you need to give them to me! It goes in a circle!"
Eventually the player mucked his hand and Brenes could only say "No cojones", flashing .
"You've got grande cojones!" Smith shot in with a laugh. "Grande Costa Rican Cojones!"
