Senti Doubles

As we walked by table 11, we just saw the dealer cutting down Jason Senti's stack after having spread a board of {9-Spades}{3-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{J-Spades}, with the player in the four-seat having tabled {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{3-Spades}.

However, Senti had made two pair with his {J-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{6-Clubs} to double up, and he's now on more than 70,000 as a result.

"I'm Dead"

Greg Brooks raised to 1,800 from the cutoff and received calls from the button and big blind. The latter player then checked the {2-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop, prompting Brooks to continuation bet 3,200. The button decided to put in a raise to 8,100, the big blind thought better of it, and Brooks made the call.

It was heads up to the {5-Spades} turn, which Brooks checked. The button bet pot, which took his entire stack of about 21,000. Brooks thought for awhile before splashing in a call. The button was more than happy to show {A-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} for an ace-high flush.

"I'm dead," Brooks said as he flipped {A-Hearts}{8-Spades}{7-Hearts}{6-Clubs} for a straight. Brooks dropped to 45,000 after the hand.

Jetten Scores Huge Pot

Peter Jetten
Peter Jetten

We came into the pot on the river when the board read {3-Hearts}{9-Spades}{2-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{9-Hearts} and Peter Jetten had put out a pot bet of 30,000. His opponent in the hand called and Jetten showed {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{4-Spades} for a rivered full house. Jetten has slowly grown his stack all day and he is up to around 120,000, good enough to put him in the top five in chips right now.

Kornuth Doubles

We didn't catch all the action, but we arrived to see Chance Kornuth all in holding {J-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{J-Spades}{3-Diamonds} on a board of {5-Hearts}{A-Hearts}{2-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}. The dealer was counting down his stack in order to pay him off. Kornuth is up to 42,000.

Chips Ahoy!

Obrestrad Out, Rast Chip Leader

On a flop of {7-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} recent bracelet winner Brian Rast checked and Annette Obrestad bet 12,200. Rast was clearly doing some math in his head and then he re-raised her all in and she called.

Rast had {10-Clubs}{9-Spades}{9-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for just a pair of nines and Obrestad had {a-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{4-Hearts} for just a pair of sevens. The {j-Hearts}{q-Spades} turn and river were no help and Rast scored the knockout. He is our chip leader right now with 175,000 and is in good shape to make a run at his second bracelet of the series.

Devilfish Chipping Up

David Ulliott
David Ulliott

David "Devilfish" Ulliott has been on quite the tear as of late. In a recent hand, action folded to the small blind when the Devilfish was in the big. The small blind limped, Devilfish raised an addition 1,000, and the small blind called. When the flop came down {9-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}, the small blind checked and Devilfish reached for his chips. The small blind didn't even give him a chance to bet as he tossed his cards in the muck.

The Devilfish is up to 70,000.
